The Purefoods franchise in the PBA has retired the jersey of former UST standout Rey Evangelista! What an honor! He joins superstars Alvin Patrimonio and Jerry Codinera as the only Purefoods players whose jerseys were retired. That means Rey is ASTIIIIIIIG, eh?

Rey was part of the 90s era where UST dominated the UAAP Men’s basketball. Out of this period came players like Chris Cantonjos, Dennis Espino, Estong Ballesteros, Bal David, Pat Fran (I called his house…twice. Sorry na…high school fangirl pa lang ako non, patawarin), Udoy Belmonte, Henry Ong, Gerard Francisco, Richard Yee and many more. Go Uste!
