Blake Shelton’s observation that everyone loves Cee Lo Green is valid.
Indeed, a number of The Voice hopefuls wanted Cee Lo to choose them. Take, for example, Jamar Rogers and Cheesa. They specifically said they wanted Cee Lo to pick them for his team. And they got their wish!
Well, you can’t blame them. Cee Lo Green is the kind of artist who can easily transcend musical genres and still sound great. His kind of talent and stage presence has a way of rubbing off on his team too. Remember that epic performance of “Love is a Battlefield” with Vicci Martinez in season 1? I didn’t expect such a level of creative insanity and it was just unforgettable.
I think this year, Team Cee Lo is a little different from last year, as the artists come from different musical backgrounds — Sarah Golden is folk, Tony Vincent, Jamie Lono and the Shields brothers are rock, Erin Martin is undefinable. Haha.
Cee Lo is my man again for this season, and I hope the ultimate winner comes from Team Red Zone! (As always, my favourites are marked with a ♥)
