I am not a fan of Willie Revillame. Anything he does, I avoid like the plague. But there is this particular Fort Bus whose driver is apparently a Willie fan (while the rest love Eat Bulaga) – the TV inside the bus is always tuned in to Wowowee despite requests from passengers to switch to Eat Bulaga. So during the commute, everyone in the bus is sort of forced to watch – or listen – to that icky show.
One thing I noticed about this show is how they like to play up on the contestants’ kawawa background. They make people narrate their sad stories on air (with melancholic music playing in the background) – heartbreaks, family problems, money issues, etc. Of course, people will get emotional and break down and Willie will pretend (of course he’s pretending!) to comfort them for a bit — and then:
Willie: Ano pong talent nyo?
Crying contestant: Sasayaw po (or ‘kakanta po’)
And the contestant then begins to perform. WTF was that?? I could only shake my head in disgust.
Wowow-weird. Wowow-what-theeff. Haha 😛
