Bento #40: Tuna pasta

Posted by Cat Ramos

I’ve been away from the bento world for several months now because I was so busy with work and the JLPT review. Well, I still do not have a lot of time for making elaborate lunches like before and this is proof. Presenting bento #40: the Not-quite-back-to-bento bento!

Bento #40: Tuna pasta

I was rummaging through my food cabinet one time and discovered that I have a lot of canned tuna, most of them were sent by my sister in Dubai. I’m OK with eating canned or bottled sardines but I hate tuna (unless its of the ‘corned tuna’ kind). I didn’t want to let it go to waste so I decided to make it yummier by cooking it in olive oil and garlic then adding tomato sauce. Salt and pepper to taste, of course. If I was feeling extra lazy, I would just pour about half a cup of UFC Banana Ketchup instead of salt and pepper.

Again, this was just an approximation and obviously, I can’t post a recipe because I didn’t follow one. ๐Ÿ˜› I also sprinkled Parmesan cheese as the sauce was simmering. The pasta I used was angel hair, which I love because it cooks really fast. ๐Ÿ˜€

It was surprisingly good! Boyfriend-approved too. ๐Ÿ˜€ I made one for him today for his snack at work, and he said he loved it. Yay!

One can down…several more to go. Faito!!

PS: I got myself a new Canon point-and-shoot as a reward for a great 2009 at work. ๐Ÿ˜‰ I’ll probably be blogging with lots of pictures soon. ๐Ÿ˜€
