Meet Tamami and Tsukiko
Today, I got two more additions to my Kimmidoll family: Tsukiko (Confident) and Tamami (Gorgeous). I got both from Platinum Mall in Bangkok. Tsukiko is THB 250 (about PHP 330) while Tamami is THB 330 (PHP 445). Not bad, huh? I was tempted to get a Yasuyo mug but I am concerned about breakage. Shame. It was really cheap too.
Fake Kimmidoll alert
I was browsing through the cute items at SM Department Store’s Stationery section when I chanced upon Kimmidoll stuff. Initially, I was excited to see them because it meant more local Kimmidoll suppliers now. But after a closer look, the labels on the luggage tags and note pads say “Kim n doll“.
Whew, I almost got myself some.
I thought the fakes were only being sold in SM. But when Arol and I were at Dimensione, I saw the same exact items on the shelves.
Then there is a particular Multiply store selling what looked like Kimmidoll pendants. But I double-checked the Kimmidoll website to see what other designs are available, and was surprised to know that the Multiply items were not part of the official merchandise list.
Ah well, just goes to show how popular Kimmidolls are becoming in the Philippines.
But I do hope that the local Kimmidoll people would bring more items to Manila – and make them more affordable. 😉
I didn’t know fake ones are being sold now! And at SM of all places! That’s just sad.
I know. So we have to be very careful when buying stuff. We don’t want to end up with a Kim n Doll 🙂
