I was on the phone with MJ last night and somehow, our okray session steered towards celebrities that look alike. I don’t even remember how we got there, but the first look-alike pair was this:
See? Ayase Haruka looks more like Akanishi Jin than Koyuki. Twins separated at birth 😉
Some Japanese celebs have Filipino look-alikes too, and here are some of my favorites:
1. Karasawa Toshiaki and Philip Salvador – I’ve seen the Jdorama Galileo several times already, but it was only on the 523rd time that I realized Karasawa Toshiaki (from the first ep) looked exactly like Philip Salvador. 😀 I’ve seen him in Shiroi Kyoto, and he looks like a younger Ipe. Sorry, Mina!
2. Nishikido Ryo and Victor Basa – I always do a double-take every time I see Victor Basa and wonder what’s a popular JE face doing on a Penshoppe billboard on EDSA.
3. Abe Hiroshi and Vic Sotto – Abe Hiroshi is my 2nd favorite actor (2nd only to Odagiri Joe) and I think he looks pretty similar to the Philippines’ favorite bossing, especially the built of the body and shape of the face.
4. Kamenashi Kazuya and Pokwang – I nearly died when someone posted a pic of Kame and Pokwang in Japinoy! I couldn’t find a less made-up pic of Pokwang but you can see their similarities below.
