I am a newbie Ebay PH seller — less than 1 year, I think. This isn’t my first online business, though. I’ve had a couple in the past that I eventually had to give up for personal reasons.
The only reason why I signed up for Ebay was because I wanted to get that R4 for my Tsubaki (that’s the name of my fiiiink Nintendo DS) — the R4 seller was ignoring me at TipidPC and found his Ebay store. I signed up right away and it was my first transaction ever. That time, the R4 was around 4k — good thing the seller allowed me to bid eventhough I had 0 feedback and had just signed up. (Most sellers are wary of 0-feedback newbies.)
Eventually, I decided to offer for sale some stuff I don’t need — then moved on to semi-serious selling. Semi-serious, because while I do have lots of items for sale, I don’t aggressively sell and I don’t check my transactions on a daily basis.
It’s great when people thank you for your nice items. On my part, I am always thankful for appreciative buyers and hassle-free transactions — I always give out generous freebies just to show how much I appreciate their business and trust, despite me just being a small-time seller.
However, while there are so many great buyers at Ebay, there are also those who are just headaches. I remembered how disappointed and frustrated I felt when I had my first non-paying bidder. I guess she kept my hopes up — and I was so nice to her, too! I’ve filed a dispute against her, but I don’t think she’ll close the transaction satisfactorily.
And Gcash!! What can I say about Gcash — except that I DON’T HAVE IT!! Just this month, I’ve had people who bought my items only to ask about my Gcash number in the end. When I tell them I don’t have one, they’d stop all communication. I’m a small-time Ebay entrepreneur so I guess they think they have a passport to waste my time, since I’m not a significant Power Seller or anything. I am really tempted to post their Ebay usernames and real names here, because I am so pissed off today — but no, I am too nice for that. Maybe in the near future, when I am no longer in my ‘The Secret’ high. ^_^
Anyway, just to end this entry on a nice note, I am happy to say that Ebay PH is now offering the Gallery Photo for free. ^_^ They did begin to charge on the Listing Designer, but that’s OK because the Gallery is more important, and does bring more profit and sales than the Designer. I got the Ebay announcement several weeks before, but it was only today that I got to list new stuff with Gallery photos included. Wheeee!
