Things at work are now looking better and I was finally able to leave the office while the sun is still up. Haha. Still, I am a little tired from too much overtime work. So I really looked forward to this weekend as I am getting some really special stuff 😀

My yukata from Kyoto, Japan!

After years and years of wishing, I finally have my own yukata ^___^ My aunt was in Japan for a short trip and I asked her to get a set for me.

Since it is still winter in Japan, summer items like yukatas are a little hard to find. But she managed to get one at a shop outside Kiyomizudera. At a discount too. Haha. She also got me a matching obi (belt) — the kind that I really wanted. Some obis are made of thin cotton and do not make nice chou (butterfly) knots. This one is made of thick polyester. The obi is reversible, plain purple on one side, white with purple sakura on the other. So beautiful.

Yukata and obi (wan kenobi)

The robe is dark blue with pink and blue flowers all over. My tita was supposed to get a pink one, but according to the shop owner, this one is the bestseller.

My yukata set didn’t have orihimo – cloth belts to use under the obi. So I will have to improvise. In the pic below, I used an ordinary belt, erk. Haha. Next time, I will use plastic straw as it is less bulky.

I also didn’t have geta (wooden clogs/sandals) but that can easily be remedied. Havaianas sells wedge pairs that can pass off as geta — only more comfortable since they are made of rubber and not wood!

The last time I wore a yukata was back in 2006 — for a company Christmas party 😛 Looking at the pics below, sometimes I wish I was still that skinny 😛

barre3 DVD and FitBall

Now I can get these two off my 2011 Christmas wish list! I was really desperate to get the DVD since my barre3 classes ended. I got really good results in only 10 sessions — I started fitting into my smaller pants after only the 3rd session. Woot woot~ But I don’t have time to go back to classes.

I was mulling over getting one from the barre3 website but my credit card was pretty beat up last month so I am trying to keep online spending to a minimum.

Good thing a seller on Sulit PH has one on hand. Wipee! I paid her on a Friday and got it on Saturday. How nice is that?

The DVD also came with a FitBall too. Double nice.

I watched the DVD last night, and saw that half of the exercises I already learned in class, while the other half is completely new.

I plan to get started on the routine this week. I am pretty sure the results will be amazing too. Gotta love barre3 ♥

In case anyone is interested, you can get in touch with the abovementioned seller (Michelle) by texting her at 09228987435. ^_^
